Dr. Hintz graduated from high school in Maquoketa, Iowa and attended Iowa State University. He graduated from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago summa cum laude in 1986, and began private practice in Davenport shortly thereafter. He has been at the Eye Care Pavilion since it has opened in 1989. His professional memberships include both the Iowa and the American Optometric Associations and the Mississippi Valley Optometric Society.
Dr. Hintz resides in Eldridge with his wife Darcie, and their two sons. In his free time, he enjoys sports, the outdoors, and is active in the Boy Scouts.
