Dr. Melissa Hogren

Dr. Hogren was raised in Port Byron, Illinois. She attended Augustana College and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology and Pre-optometry. She continued her education at the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Visual Science and Doctorate in Optometry. She completed an externship at the Olympia Fields Hospital and Medical Center, training under various subspecialties in ophthalmology. Her professional memberships include both Iowa and the American Optometric Associations and also a former participant chairman of the Mississippi Valley Optometric Association.

Dr. Hogren and her husband enjoy spending their free time with their daughters. She also keeps active teaching Sunday school at her church and is a third-generation 4H leader.
