Dr. Hogren was raised in Port Byron, Illinois. She attended Augustana College and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology and Pre-optometry. She continued her education at the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Visual Science and Doctorate in Optometry. She completed an externship at the Olympia Fields Hospital and Medical Center, training under various subspecialties in ophthalmology. Her professional memberships include both the Iowa and the American Optometric Associations and she is the current chairman of the Mississippi Valley Optometric Society.
Dr. Hogren and her husband enjoy spending their free time with their daughters.
